Artist's Comments

Cowhide on front and cowsuede on back. 24mm by 18mm brown jasper cabochon, 15mm brass concho. 100% multi-colored (mostly red), striped, heavy-weight Guatemalan cotton lining. Bag is 7 3/4" long by 5 1/8" wide. Strap is 36 1/2" long. One of three southwestern-inspired small bags that I made expressly for charity events -- one I donated to a National Public Radio auction and the other is My Ambiguously Gay Pony. The backside of this shoulderbag is all suede, same as the top of this side.

Whee, new work! Looks really great. How much time were you making it?
:iconajglass:
Wow, nice bag.

I wish the picture were larger/brighter so I could see the agate more.

Any idea what kind of agate it is?

I'm sort of into rocks.

I really don't remember, but most leatherworks I make take 1 to 6 months. This I made with a few others and I made them all at the same time, within the space of about a month or so, I guess. They are small and don't have interior pockets so they take less time to make. Was also in a hurry because I needed one right away to donate to an NPR auction -- this bunch was all meant for charity donations.

Lol, I knew someone would ask me what kind of agate it is, but I forgot :brainless:. I will try to remember what it is though and then put it in the artist comments.

It's a technique that I devised about 10 years ago, did a bit of trial and error until I got it to be secure and to look the way they look today.
