This is the holiday card I made and sent to dA for the Holiday Card Project 2007 [link], and yes, it is made out of leather. It is 3 5/8" by 6 1/2" and is all leather except for the stars, which are ultrasuede, because I thought the off-white creamy color was nicer than stark white leather and was also easier to attach the rhinestone to.

Why leather? Cuz give me some paper and all I'm able to do with it is draft patterns or make shopping lists on it, that's why ;). *Jagarnot had to draw out the bunnies for me, in fact, she drew all the animals I've ever done, which is not easy to do because they have to be executable in leather.

This is a holiday card but also an ornament. On the back is a cut-out window underlayed with clear vinyl and underneath I wrote a holiday greeting in ink. At the top is a brass chain (not seen here) so that it can be hung on a tree or on a nail on the wall or whatnot. This is the first card I've ever made to give to the Holiday Card Project because I joined dA only two days before Christmas last year. I think I would like to do another one next year, that is, if dA doesn't have a problem with mine being leather and not your usual and traditional card medium.
