hi Rocul, sorry for not getting back to you sooner, having problems getting used to this site, it's not like anything I've ever been on before. Glad you liked it. Just put another one up and it looks similar to the first one but that's cos they're part of a series.

Wow... Just wow! :faint:

This is amazing work. The design and use of colour and the choice of materials are spot on. I have never seen stones used with leather like that before.
You must have a really good sewing machine (please tell me this isn't hand stitched!) Mine tends to go on strike when I try to sew leather.

hunter green and pumpkin is a favorite color combo of mine; it touches me with its elegance and magic. The leather bezel is something I developed in 1998. I never did photograph the back of this bag -- it's similar to the back of the "Unicorn," also on my gallery. The only difference is that a small jasper cab is centered on the cross and the color of the jasper is an amazing match to the color of the pumpkin-colored leather.

No, I don't handsew anything, not when it's leather anyhow, especially when I have to do multiple parallel stitching lines.

This design is one of five in a series. There's also a unicorn and a Celtic knot, both on my gallery as well. I haven't uploaded the dragon yet and the fairy, well, she's still on the drawing board because I can't come up with how I want her to look. Also, she will be quite voluptuous with large cultured pearls for her breasts -- the problem is that I would like the pearls routed out on top so some tiny 2mm rubies can be laid in. My jeweler friend says he can do it but I am fearful for the nacre. If it can be done she will be known as the fairy with the "ruby boobies." I so want to do that just so I can say that.

Can you tell I love to talk shop?

Lovely design and contrasting materials. I love the slight tapered shape. I like the bottom corners and the strapping on the top sides that hold the strap.
